Incubation for Social Impact
A one-and-a-half day summit for incubator managers
22nd-23rd February 2016, New Delhi
Venue: India Habitat Centre
Update: See agenda outline here
We all know enterprise has a key role to play in solving social challenges, whether in providing affordable products and services for low income communities, building inclusive supply chains or employing disadvantaged people. As ‘social’ or ‘impact’ entrepreneurship rises up the agenda, more incubators are starting to look at how they can support enterprises that create social impact.
Whether specialising in social enterprise or supporting these businesses as part of a wider portfolio, we know a lot of incubators face similar challenges. But one thing’s for certain: the best advice usually comes from those who have been in the same position.
Join us for a chance to interact with fellow incubator managers. We’ll be discussing approaches to
incubating social enterprise, as well as wider challenges that many of us face, including:
- Incubation in smaller cities, low income states and other regions with less developed
- Sustainable business models for incubators.
- Impact measurement.
- Attracting, developing and retaining talent.
At this interactive and collaborative event, you’ll get a chance to:
- Exchange knowledge with other incubator managers.
- Build peer networks.
- Discuss good practices and common challenges.
- Connect with international incubators.
This event is aimed at incubator managers who want to exchange learning with their peers. Whether you’re a social enterprise expert, or learning about it for the first time, you’ll find something for you.
This event is co-organised by Nesta, ISBA, ANDE, GIZ and Bethnal Green Ventures.
This event is organised with support from the UK Government’s Department for International
