The 2017 application cycle is now closed. The awards will be presented at the GSG Impact Summit 2017. The summit will take place from July 10-11 in Chicago, Illinois.

ANDE, in partnership with the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG), an independent multilateral catalyzing impact investment and entrepreneurship, is seeking to honor three impact entrepreneurs under 30 years of age at the inaugural GSG Millennial Honors award ceremony.

The awards will be presented at the GSG Impact Summit 2017 in Chicago, July 10-11, 2017. Winners will be flown to Chicago to receive the honors from Sir Ronald Cohen, chair of the GSG. The travel costs for Millennial Scholars will be supported by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Why is this restricted to millennials under 30?
GSG wanted to highlight the younger millennials of the group.
  • Can microentrepreneurs apply?
Yes, microentrepreneurs are welcome to apply. It is not where the enterprise/entrepreneur starts that matters, but where s/he ends. However, as a reminder, we will be considering the overall impact of the individual enterprise, which includes job creation. In that sense, microentrepreneurs may be at a disadvantage. Nonetheless, all qualified nominations will be reviewed carefully.
  • Is there a geographic limitation?
No, there is no geographic limitation. Under-30 entrepreneurs from all over the world are eligible. Please do pay attention to the visa and travel requirements in the application.
  • Are under-30 millennials that have started a new venture within an existing corporation or organization eligible?
If the venture is distinct one where revenues could be tracked separately from the host institution, then yes.
