London Member Meeting Recap- Presentation Slides

On April 8, 2014, ANDE members and friends gathered in London at the Shell Foundation for our annual Member Meetings and Anniversary Celebration.  The daytime workshop included updates from several ANDE members on current initiatives, as well as breakout sessions on women's entrepreneurship, talent development, capital aggregation, and funders' use of challenges.

Catalyst for Growth Initiative in South Africa

In February 2012, the JPMorgan Chase Foundation launched the SME Catalyst for Growth (C4G) programme in South Africa to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME)in collaboration with three core partners: Dalberg Global Development Advisors (Dalberg), Aurik and Raizcorp. Only one year into the C4G initiative, businesses in the programme have experienced dramatic growth in revenue and number of employees This report provides a one year update of J.P. It expands the pool of potential entrepreneurs, builds incentives for entrepreneurship, eases the costs of doing business, and generates healthy competition. Impact Investing 2.0

With lead funding from the Omidyar Network, InSight at Pacific Community Ventures, CASE at Duke and ImpactAssets have been working for over two years to examine the practices of 12 outstanding impact investing funds, culled from an initial list of 350. On November 7, at the World Economic Forum in New York, the new report Impact Investing 2.0 was released. The funds represent over $1.3 billion of assets; a rich and diverse cross-section of the field that, taken together, proves that concurrently delivering significant social impacts and financial returns that meet or exceed investor expectations is not only possible, but is being done at significant scale. Value for Women released a new research report, "Beyond the Threshold: Investing in Women-led Small and Growing Businesses," detailing the problems of under-investment in women-led small and growing businesses.
