This report demonstrates the enormous commercial potential that exists for mobile value added services that are specifically designed to address the needs, challenges and desires of women entrepreneurs. This Foundation believes that the private sector is an integral partner in our effort to promote women’s financial independence. Opportunities in Technology for the Base of the Pyramid in Brazil

This report is a summary of the main discussions presented during the two editions of “Opportunities in Technology for the Base of the Pyramid” event- the first of which was held in Receife on November 12, 2013, the second of which was held in Sao Paulo on May 20, 2014. The event was hosted by the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), Ebay Foundation,  Instituto de Cidadania Empresarial (ICE,) with support from ARTEMISIA, Cria Global, and Porto Digital.
