World Bank Enterprise Surveys: Country Reports

Posted By Administration, Tuesday, August 25, 2015

Since 2002, the World Bank has collected firm-level surveys of a representative sample of an economy's private sector. To date, this has resulted in data that covers a broad range of business environment topics including access to finance, corruption, infrastructure, performance measures, and more.

The Enterprise Surveys team has recently released five country highlights: Ghana, India, Namibia, Sweden, and Tanzania. The country highlights are two-page summaries of key findings from each survey, and provide a great overview of priority issues in each country's business environment.

More reports are available for download on the Enterprise Surveys website

A primer on results measurement and surveys: DCED Standard for Results Measurement

Posted By Administration, Friday, May 29, 2015
Updated: Wednesday, May 27, 2015

The DCED Standard is a framework that helps practitioners articulate their hypotheses clearly. It also helps them to systematically set and monitor indicators that show whether or not events are occurring as predicted. This empowers practitioners to adapt their programs based on the data they collect. Many would say this is just good management. Over 100 projects in over 50 countries are currently using the DCED Standard. This includes projects ranging from value chain development, to challenge funds, to business environment reform.

Using the standard also helps improve the degree of rigor in results measurement.

Attached, you can find the one page outline about the Standard and how it can help you and your organization.

For more information, check out the DCED Standard pages here
