Impact Management workshop

Social Value UK (SVUK), as part of Social Value International will deliver a one-day workshop with ANDE that will provide attendees with an introduction to the key aspects associated with impact measurement and management.

The workshop would be structured around social value principles and 10 impact questions with a focus on the need for using measurement for the management of impact while looking at how data can be used to influence decision-making (something that is often overlooked or forgotten as organisations start their journey of impact measurement). 

Objectives:

       Gain agreement for relevance and importance for maximising social value

       Introduce the main concepts behind social value and SROI

       Identify challenges and solutions to embedding a culture of impact management

 

Final Agenda:

9:30 - 10:00: Networking + coffee

10:00 -11:30: What is social impact and why are we interested?

11:30 -11:45: Break

11:45 - 13:00: What do we need to know and do?

–      Stage 1 Goals and outcomes

13:00 - 14:00: Lunch

14:00 - 16:15 What do we need to know and do?

–      Stage 2 Data collection and setting targets

–      Stage 3 Review and analysis of results

–      Stage 4 Revise options to increase impacts

16:15 - 17:00: Culture for maximising value

17:00: Close

 

The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Adam Richards, the Projects, Research & Training Manager for SVUK who has experience in delivering training and educational support for over 10 years.

The session will be an interactive experience that will provide key take-aways for attendees addressing both key conceptual and practical challenges.

The workshop will assist attendees to appreciate how we can account for social value and social impacts – going beyond just measuring, to also examine how we can manage and ultimately maximise the value of our activities.

In particular, the workshop will:

  • Examine the conceptual issues of impact measurement and management,
  • Outline the importance of the Principles of Social Value,
  • Examine how we can account for value using key impact questions,
  • Discuss the challenges and solutions of embedding social value into an organisation.
