 Planning for Impact

- spotlight on measuring the impact of youth entrepreneurship-

Don't get left behind! Join the ANDE SA team and fellow intermediaries for the second Impact Management Learning Lab meeting. The IM Learning Lab is an open and progressive community of practice for intermediaries in South Africa. It builds on the momentum of the ANDE SA Metrics Learning Lab, providing members with a platform to learn how to measure their impact and in turn support their entrepreneurs to have an IMM practice and to use data to improve their decisions and performance.

Important note:

There will be four Impact Management Learning Lab's (over and above two Training of Trainer (ToT) workshops) throughout this project. The Leaning Labs will follow a plan of action to cover the 10 key "Impact Questions" as mentioned in the first session. It is not compulsory to attend each Learning Lab, though it is favourable.

If you missed the first Learning Lab and you would like to acquaint yourself with the insights provided, as well as the 10 Impact Questions, please see the Learning Brief here.  We will be producing a Learning Brief after each Learning Lab to summarise the conversation and provide useful tips.

The agenda (draft) for the upcoming Learning Lab will include:

  • An opportunity for participants to address Impact questions 1 - 3 (see Learning Brief above).
  • self-assessment impact tool exercise to help organisations ascertain where they are in their IMM journey, what more they can do, and better identify their purpose and impact metrics.
  • An update on the Global Impact Investing Network's new IRIS+ catalog of impact metrics and the Impact Management Project.
  • Youth entrepreneurship spotlight: short case studies/shared experiences on the impact measurement and management journeys of organisations that support young entrepreneurs. Speakers tba.
