Data Utilisation Workshop for Accelerators & Incubators
The Global Accelerator Learning Initiative (GALI), a program of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), is hosting a full-day workshop for accelerators and incubators. A representative from the ANDE research team will lead participants through a series of exercises and peer-learning discussions focused on developing a data utilisation plan. Participants will also learn about GALI’s new benchmarking tool, which allows accelerators to compare their performance against GALI’s global dataset.
Who should attend?
This event is designed for accelerator and incubator program managers who are interested in improving their data collection strategies and/or building a data collection plan for the first time. You will walk away from this workshop with practical ideas from the GALI community that can inform your own program’s approach.
In this workshop you will:
- Develop a 'data use' plan which will help you to collect and use data more effectively to make decisions and achieve your objectives
- Walk through GALI’s new online benchmarking tool
- Network with peers and learn about their models and approaches to data utilisation
What is GALI?
The Global Accelerator Learning Initiative (GALI) is a collaboration between the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE) and Emory University designed to explore key questions about enterprise acceleration such as: Do acceleration programs contribute to revenue growth? Do they help companies attract investment? GALI builds on the Entrepreneurship Database Program at Emory University, which works with accelerator programs around the world to collect data describing the entrepreneurs that they attract and support. To date, GALI has collected data from more than 19,000 early-stage ventures and partnered with more than 280 acceleration programs throughout the world.
