ANDE Investment Manager Training - Yangon, Myanmar 2020
2 March - 6 March, 2020

The ANDE Investment Manager Training is an intensive five day course which covers all aspects of investing in small and growing business (SGBs) – from deal sourcing and due diligence to exit strategies. The course will focus on deals across emerging markets, with reference to global case studies.

This five day course is based largely on actual deals made by ANDE members and is designed to be highly interactive and participatory. It will also focus on the social and environmental impact of investing at this level, and how that affects the investment process. This is the only course of its kind that focuses on both investing in emerging and developing markets and impact investing.

If you are interested in gaining additional knowledge on investing in early stage deals in emerging markets from some of the leaders in the field, then this is the course for you.

Past Participant Feedback:

“This class is really engaging, with practical hands on examples, definitely worth taking the time to do! I came out of it much more confident about different potential deal structures and with a lot of good ideas for my organization.” - Rachel Lewis, Kiva - Bangkok, Thailand, 2018

“The ANDE investment manager training is an intensive journey through the entire investment process. A practical framework to navigate the complexity of investing in small and growing impact businesses. People always make the difference and a highlight is working on real investment cases with the really inspiring peer group that ANDE attracts. You will leave more informed and with a greater sensibility for what it takes to make good investment decisions in often challenging environments.” - Zamir Wiget, Head WWF Impact Ventures – Bangkok, Thailand, 2018

“The IMT program provided deep insights on equity and quasi equity instruments which our fund intends to use. Confusing issues on what term sheets were appropriate or not were also clarified. Diversity in the class was also helpful in peer learning. Our fund will benefit a lot from the tools and new learning from the training. Will recommend the training to any SGB investor seeking to learn more about the entire deal making to monitoring and exit process.” - Yvonne Ofosu- Appiah, Wangara Green Ventures- Washington DC, 2018

“This course is both a fantastic introduction for those new to the space and a great refresher for those looking to hone their skills in impact investment management. The lectures are helpful and are complemented by active class participation through which you can learn a great deal from your colleagues working in the sector. Furthermore, you get to further strengthen your ties to this inspiring and collaborative community!” - Katherine Fackler, Pact Ventures- Washington DC, 2018

“Impact investing is a growing industry and it is important to provide people with the resources they require. In order for the field to continue to advance, we need more programs like ... the ANDE Investment Manager Training to prepare the next generation of impact investors.” - Isaac Gross, Capria - Brazil 2015
