ANDE Brazil - India- South Africa Cross-Chapter Dialogues

ANDE Cross-Chapter Dialogues (Brazil, India, South Africa) hope to serve as a platform to encourage discussion, so that ANDE members and partners can learn from their counterparts in other countries and also foster relationships towards greater collaboration. The first of these convenings will focus on 'cross-cutting gender issues' as we work towards bringing gender equality in the SGB sector

The India, Brazil, and South African ANDE Chapters would like to host an interactive virtual cross chapter webinar on the Wednesday 19th of August 2020 with the aim of:

  • Adding value to the members supporting SGBs in the IBSA chapters by exploring ANDE’s differential value proposition of being an international network and promoting international knowledge and networking exchange among members in these 3 countries;
  • Understanding the challenges and innovative solutions created by members related to the three urgent issue areas of ANDE (gender, environment and decent work);
  • Building on the existing bilateral and multilateral co-operation; and
  • Fostering collaboration between chapters as they have similar ecosystems.

There is significant evidence that women entrepreneurs face unique challenges in starting and growing businesses, particularly in emerging markets. This first dialogue will focus on cross-cutting gender issues' with a few stakeholders sharing the concrete ways in which their organisations have begun operating with a gender lens.
