Fostering Corporate Partnerships to Support Small and Growing Businesses

The ANDE India Corporate Partnerships working group, in collaboration with the Strategic Alliance partners (GIZ, Bosch and Intellecap), aims to be a supportive early stage laboratory for ideas that strengthens the ecosystem and facilitates collaboration between intermediary organizations (e.g. incubators, investors, and donors) corporations and ultimately small and growing business (SGBs) through:

  • Knowledge Sharing to increase mutual understanding and identify best practices
  • Convenings to develop stronger connections between stakeholders
  • Development of relevant tools to foster partnerships between corporations, intermediaries and SGBs
  • Advocating for more SGB-Corporate partnerships by sharing success stories

Corporations are increasingly recognizing the value of SGBs in their CSR strategy, as well as to their corporate bottom line. The ANDE India Corporate Partnerships Working Group will help fill in in the gaps in knowledge about opportunities, potential partners, and mechanisms for engagement to help SGB-Corporate partnerships live up to their potential.

  1. Develop a pipeline of future partners including connections to 80+ ANDE members operating in India
  2. Establish working relationships with other grant making institutions, corporations, incubators and investors
  3. Gain insights from success stories and challenges
  4. Identify opportunities and alignments with your strategic plan

  • Engagement Mechanisms between Corporates & Incubators and Corporates & SGBs (Including Start-ups and Social Enterprises)
  • Guidelines on CSR funds—Incubator partnership
  • Access to studies providing an overview on the start-up/incubator ecosystem

 Planned Topics for Convenings:

  • Aligning corporate investments to maximise social impact
  • Capacity development and other organisational challenges corporate foundations face
  • Strategic importance of corporate engagement in start-up incubation
  • Corporate partnerships for product development
