The Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE), a program of the Aspen Institute, is a global network of organizations that propel entrepreneurship in developing economies. ANDE members provide critical financial, educational, and business support services to small and growing businesses (SGBs) based on the conviction that SGBs will create jobs, stimulate long-term economic growth, and produce environmental and social benefits. Ultimately, ANDE believes that SGBs can help lift countries out of poverty.

ANDE is looking for an Operations and Events Coordinator for the Brazil Chapter. This role will be based São Paulo, with hybrid and partially remote work options possible.


The ideal candidate enjoys administrative work and will be excited about executing logistical tasks for local membership, programs, and events, from managing the member activation process to answering member questions about an upcoming event to supporting the head of the Brazil chapter with urgent needs. You might start the day by communicating with potential members interested in joining ANDE, followed by running an event about Impact Investing in Brazil. Later in the day, you could assist the chapter´s head with the management of a program focused on gender equality for the SGB sector. Finally, throughout the day, you may be coordinating the monthly newsletter and social media posts of the chapter.


  • Day-to-day work involves a wide variety of administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment, from handling communication with potential and current members to managing the invoicing process from start to finish for nearly 300 members.
  • Provide administrative support– including scheduling calls with members in Brazil, maintaining a clean database, addressing logistical member requests about event registration, and crafting mass emails.
  • Working closely with the chapter head in organizing local events such as the Coffee with Members, Member´s Happy Hour, Member´s Visits to Projects, and hosting virtual events for members.
  • Engaging with and assisting with the implementation of the communications strategy and all communication tasks (newsletter, LinkedIn, website, invites, etc.), including drafting and refining communications, content curation, and coordinating with the communications provider.
  • Leading specific project initiatives such as the AGEI Learning Communities in Brazil and supporting the Impact Investing Report.
  • Support the training of interns on database management and website updates relevant.
  • Work with a high degree of engagement with members and strong customer-facing skills.


  • Bachelor’s Degree recently graduated or up to 2-3 years of experience providing administrative support in NGOs setting and logistics for projects and events.
  • Organized and detail-oriented: excels at handling multiple priorities, has great attention to detail, is forward-thinking, and loves developing and keeping processes on track.
  • Strong relationship management skills: Clear written and verbal communicator with great sales and relationship management skills with ANDE members in Brazil.
  • Event management skills: Ability to support the planning and execution of both large and small events, with a knack for technology.
  • Administrative skills: Superstar administrator with love for organization, clear processes, and work plans.
  • Time management skills: Excels at time management, completing tasks at a high level of quality, and remaining calm under pressure.
  • Strong customer service orientation: Can represent ANDE Brazil well with event participants, support ANDE staff as internal clients, and interface with external vendors and members in Brazil.
  • Sector interest: Interested in learning more about entrepreneurship in developing economies, how ANDE’s work supports the Sustainable Development Goals, and excited to engage with global membership worldwide on a day-to-day basis.
  • Tech Savvy: Ready to take on new technologies and own technology processes. Experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Advocacy: Experience with advocacy or public policies in Brazil is a plus.
  • Fluent English written and spoken is needed.

The role will be open to candidates who have work authorization in Brazil.
