Invest in Africa (IIA) is focused on job creation and improving the business environment for both investors and African SMEs / SGBs. Our priority is to increase the linkages, trade and investment between large international and domestic companies and smaller local business (SMEs / SGBs). We do this through: 1. Connecting larger business to credible local suppliers / small to medium scale enterprises (SGBs) 2. Improving those local suppliers (SGBs) access to business skills, tenders and finance, to build long term capacity 3. Improve the investment climate and quality of policy discussions in markets where we operate IIA works across Africa, including Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Zambia and Guinea, where we work with corporates and development bodies such as EY, BP, Tullow Oil, Ecobank, Safaricom, Equity Bank, Newmont Mining, DFID, GIZ and the AfDB. Our work has impacts over 4,000 African SMEs, has linked local suppliers to tenders worth $160m, finance worth $3.5m and created 34,000 jobs.
