ANDE Annual Conference 2018 - Ricardo Salinas Scholarship Request

Thanks to the generosity of the Ricardo Salinas Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Latinos and Society Program is able to offer limited scholarship funds to help increase Latino/Latina and Latin American participation in Aspen Institute programs. As part of the Aspen Institute, ANDE has the opportunity to nominate candidates from among our members to attend the 2018 ANDE Annual Conference.

A few Ricardo Salinas Scholarship recipients at the Annual Conference

The Ricardo Salinas Foundation Scholarship Fund aims to increase the participation of Latinos and Mexican nationals in the Aspen Institute’s public events, policy round tables, leadership seminars and other convenings. It will expand the horizons and impact of the recipients, and will also enrich the experience for all participants and programs at the Aspen Institute, who will benefit from Ricardo Salinas Foundation Scholars’ ideas and perspectives. Scholars should identify as either Latino* or Mexican.

*Latino is an American term used to describe an individual in the U.S. whose family or ancestry is originally from South or Central America or the Caribbean. Regardless of immigration status, a Latino person identifies as being from or living primarily in the United States. Mexican national refers to a citizen or permanent resident of Mexico whose primary residence is in Mexico.

Only one person from each organization is eligible for a scholarship.

Nomination Criteria:

  • Must be a senior level manager within an ANDE member organization
  • The organization must be in good standing with ANDE
  • Priority will be given to those who have not previously received a Ricardo Salinas Scholarship
  • Must submit a complete application by the deadline

The Ricardo Salinas scholarship application deadline has passed.
