ANDE's First Decade

ANDE Turns 10!

Since 2009, ANDE has been committed to building a global community of organizations that work to support entrepreneurs and SGBs in emerging markets.  We have grown from 34 founding organizations into a global network of 300 collaborative, innovative, and determined members.  In honor of our tenth anniversary, we’ve put together a video that highlights our mission, accomplishments and lays out our refreshed strategy for the next few years.  With gratitude to our founders, members, funders, and other supporters, we invite you to take a look!

  • Defining and building a new international development sector focused specifically on Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs) in emerging markets
  • Driving more than $7 million in funding to sector organizations to help build tools to support the SGB Sector
  • Training nearly 1000 practitioners on investment management, capacity development services, and other key skills relevant to the SGB Sector

ANDE 2019 Annual Conference: Tenth Anniversary Celebration

ANDE celebrated its 10th anniversary at our Annual Conference in September!  We were joined by our regional staff and members from across the globe to convene on current best practices and brainstorm new ideas for the sector.  In addition, a number of our original Executive Committee members traveled to DC to participate in the festivities.

ANDE was excited to welcome former U.S. Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, to the Annual Conference.  We are grateful to have received her valuable insight and affirmation that ANDE is on the right path.
